Highest Paid Spider-Man: Actor Salaries Revealed

Highest paid Spider-Man actors Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield compared

The highest paid Spider-Man may surprise many Marvel fans. While Tom Holland currently leads the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tobey Maguire remains the biggest earner among all actors who have played the iconic superhero. Years of blockbuster success and profit-sharing deals helped him build an impressive fortune from the franchise.

Spider-Man has remained one of Hollywood’s most successful superhero franchises for more than two decades. Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland have each delivered memorable performances as Peter Parker. However, their salaries reveal a very different story behind the scenes.

Tobey Maguire Earned the Biggest Spider-Man Salary

Tobey Maguire still ranks as the highest paid Spider-Man in movie history.

Reports suggest he earned approximately $4 million for the original Spider-Man in 2002. After the film became a worldwide success, Sony significantly increased his salary.

For Spider-Man 2, Maguire reportedly received $17.5 million, along with a percentage of the movie’s box office earnings.

His earnings continued to grow for Spider-Man 3. He reportedly secured $15 million upfront, plus first-dollar gross participation. That agreement dramatically increased his total income.

Maguire also returned for a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, reportedly earning another $1 million.

Overall, industry estimates place his total Spider-Man earnings at more than $70 million.

Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man Salary

Andrew Garfield joined the franchise in 2012 with The Amazing Spider-Man.

His reported salary for the first film was approximately $500,000.

For The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Garfield’s earnings increased to between $1 million and $1.5 million.

He also reportedly received around $1 million for his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

His total earnings from playing Spider-Man are estimated to fall between $5 million and $6 million.

Tom Holland’s Marvel Earnings Continue to Rise

Tom Holland began his Spider-Man journey with a much smaller paycheck.

He reportedly earned around $250,000 for Captain America: Civil War, where he first appeared as Spider-Man.

His salary increased to roughly $1.5 million for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

As Holland became one of Marvel’s biggest stars, his earnings climbed rapidly through Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Reports estimate he received approximately $10 million for No Way Home.

Industry insiders also believe Holland could earn between $15 million and $20 million for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, although Marvel and Sony have not officially confirmed those figures.

Who Is the Highest Paid Spider-Man?

Despite Tom Holland’s rapidly growing salary, Tobey Maguire remains the highest paid Spider-Man overall.

His original trilogy contracts included substantial bonuses and profit-sharing agreements that continue to place him ahead of every other actor who has worn the Spider-Man suit.

If Holland’s future Marvel films continue breaking box office records, he could eventually challenge Maguire’s position. For now, however, Tobey Maguire still holds the financial crown among Spider-Man actors.
