Israel Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened a Gaza City evacuation if another Israeli soldier or civilian is abducted.
Katz made the warning Tuesday during a memorial for the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He said Israel would move Gaza City residents south if another Israeli were kidnapped.
He also threatened to destroy buildings and infrastructure across the city.
Katz Threatens Mass Gaza City Evacuation
Katz said the threat would apply if a single Israeli soldier or civilian were kidnapped.
He also criticized Hamas and its supporters. His remarks targeted Iran and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a vocal critic of Israel’s Gaza campaign.
