A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man and a woman were found dead inside a house in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Lancashire Police said officers discovered the two bodies at a property on Hardman Street at about 08:20 BST. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released, and police have not confirmed their ages.
However, local residents told the BBC that the victims were elderly. Detectives have not yet provided further details about their relationship or how they died.
The arrested man, who is in his 40s, remains in police custody as officers work to establish what happened. Investigators are carrying out forensic examinations and speaking with people who may have information about the deaths.
