Veteran Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan died on Thursday, September 24, at the age of 56.
The actor passed away at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he had been receiving treatment after his health deteriorated. His death was confirmed by his family and industry representatives.
Khan had built a long career as a character actor in Hindi cinema. He became particularly known for his comic timing and memorable supporting performances.
According to reports, Khan had been battling cancer. His son told PTI that doctors discovered the illness after he complained of stomach pain and that his condition worsened in recent days.

He later appeared in films such as Wanted, Oh My God!, Gadar 2 and Stree 2.

He played Ballu, a member of Uday Shetty’s gang, alongside Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor.

Khan also gained recognition for his role as Gul Khan in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. He later returned to the franchise in Gadar 2.
