Farah Khan has sparked fresh Main Hoon Na 2 speculation after actor Arjun Kapoor publicly asked for a sequel to her popular 2004 film starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Arjun recently shared a video of himself watching the film on television while checking into a hotel. He described the movie as one of his all-time favourites and called for a second instalment.
He also tagged Farah in his post, putting the filmmaker directly in the spotlight.
Farah Khan Responds to Arjun Kapoor
Farah responded to Arjun with a playful message that quickly caught fans’ attention.
She wrote, “Agar kisi cheez ko dil se maango…” and added a heart emoji. The line immediately reminded fans of a famous dialogue from her 2007 film Om Shanti Om, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan.
As a result, many fans wondered whether Farah was dropping a subtle hint about Main Hoon Na 2.
However, her response does not confirm that a sequel is actually in development.
Farah Previously Dismissed Sequel Rumours
Farah has previously played down reports about a possible sequel.
After speculation linked her next Shah Rukh Khan project to Main Hoon Na 2, the filmmaker reportedly told The Times of India that fans should not believe every rumour surrounding the project.
Therefore, Farah’s latest comment remains open to interpretation.
She has confirmed, however, that she wants to return to directing after spending time away from filmmaking.
Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan’s Film Partnership
Farah and Shah Rukh have built a successful creative partnership over the years.
Their collaboration began with Main Hoon Na in 2004. They later reunited for Om Shanti Om in 2007 and Happy New Year in 2014.
All three films combined Farah’s signature dance sequences, comedy and large-scale Bollywood entertainment with Shah Rukh’s star power.
A new collaboration between the two would naturally attract strong interest. Still, there has been no official announcement confirming Main Hoon Na 2.
Farah Plans to Return to Directing
Farah has also spoken about her plans for another directorial project.
