The latest Russia Ukraine attacks have intensified as Russian airstrikes killed several civilians across eastern and southern Ukraine while Kyiv launched long-range drone attacks against warehouses owned by Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries. The escalating conflict is now extending beyond military targets, with both sides increasingly focusing on economic infrastructure.

Russian Strikes Leave Several Dead Across Ukraine

Russian attacks killed at least six people across multiple Ukrainian regions on Friday, according to local authorities.

The eastern Dnipropetrovsk region suffered the heaviest damage. Drone strikes, artillery fire and aerial bombs killed two people and injured six others. Regional officials reported at least 50 Russian attacks in a single day.

The violence followed another deadly wave of attacks on Thursday that killed five people in the same region.

Kherson, Kharkiv and Donetsk Also Hit

In southern Kherson, officials said a Russian Molniya drone struck a civilian vehicle and killed a 77-year-old woman. Several other attacks injured dozens of people, including passengers traveling on a public bus.

Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, two civilians died after Russian forces reportedly used cluster munitions during heavy bombardment. Local officials confirmed at least 18 injuries across more than 20 affected communities.

In Donetsk, authorities also reported civilian casualties after repeated shelling throughout the region.

Ukraine Expands Deep Strikes Into Russia

While Russia intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities, Kyiv continued targeting economic infrastructure inside Russia.

One of the latest operations struck a major Wildberries logistics center in Yekaterinburg, nearly 2,000 kilometers from the battlefield.

Videos circulating online appeared to show drones approaching the facility before large fires erupted.

Wildberries confirmed the attack and said employees evacuated before the strike. Firefighters then quickly contained the blaze.

Why Ukraine Is Targeting Wildberries

Ukraine argues that Wildberries supports Russia’s military logistics and contributes to Moscow’s war effort.

Since mid-July, Ukrainian forces have reportedly targeted more than 20 Wildberries facilities across Russia.

Russian authorities and the company deny any involvement in military operations. They insist that the warehouses serve purely commercial purposes.

Despite those denials, Kyiv continues to identify logistics hubs as strategic economic targets.

Energy Infrastructure Remains Under Pressure

Ukraine also claims that recent operations have damaged significant parts of Russia’s energy sector.

According to Ukrainian officials, drone attacks over the past several weeks have targeted:

  • Oil refineries
  • Fuel depots
  • Loading terminals
  • Military airfields
  • Aircraft

At the same time, Russia struck multiple Ukrainian oil and gas production facilities overnight.

Ukraine’s state energy company Naftogaz said Russian strikes destroyed several pieces of critical infrastructure. The company warned that Moscow is attempting to weaken Ukraine’s energy supply before winter.

Black Sea Infrastructure Also Targeted

Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed that its military struck two cargo ships operating in the Black Sea, alleging that they supported Ukraine’s armed forces.

Russian officials also reported attacks on fuel storage facilities at the Ukrainian port of Pivdennyi.

Neither claim could be independently verified.

Zelenskyy Visits Serbia

Amid the ongoing fighting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to Serbia for his first official visit.

He said discussions would focus on strengthening economic cooperation, improving relations with the European Union and expanding bilateral partnerships.

The visit could irritate Moscow because Serbia maintains traditionally close political and energy ties with Russia.

Conflict Shows No Signs of Slowing

The latest Russia Ukraine attacks demonstrate how both countries continue to expand military operations beyond the front line.

Russia continues launching deadly strikes against Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure, while Ukraine increasingly targets Russian logistics networks and commercial facilities that Kyiv believes support the war effort.

As both sides broaden their objectives, concerns continue to grow that the conflict could become even more destructive in the months ahead.
