Rockstar Games is reportedly working on L.A. Noire 2, according to an old leak that has recently attracted fresh attention online. The rumored sequel is said to move the detective series from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
The original L.A. Noire was released in 2011 by Rockstar Games and Team Bondi. Since then, the game has developed a dedicated following, with fans repeatedly asking for a sequel.
However, Rockstar has never officially announced L.A. Noire 2. Therefore, the latest information should be treated as an unconfirmed report rather than an established release plan.
L.A. Noire 2 Could Move to San Francisco
The latest claims come from a post shared on the GTA Forums. According to the report, the information originally appeared in 2023 but has only recently gained wider attention.
The source claims Rockstar could make L.A. Noire 2 its next major project after GTA 6. In addition, the alleged sequel would reportedly be set in San Francisco.
The leak also makes a much bigger claim about the story. It suggests that the Zodiac Killer could play an important role in the game and may even be connected to the central character.
There is no official confirmation of these story details. As a result, fans should view the claims with caution until Rockstar or publisher Take-Two Interactive provides more information.
Facial Animation Could Get Another Upgrade
The original L.A. Noire became particularly well known for its facial animation technology. Players had to study characters closely while questioning suspects and look for signs that they might be lying.
