Argentina Falklands Banner Sparks Debate
The Falkland Islands, known in Argentina as Las Malvinas, have remained at the centre of a sovereignty dispute for decades.
The disagreement led to the 1982 Falklands War, which lasted just over two months. Britain regained control of the islands after the conflict, while Argentina has continued to claim sovereignty.
Because of that history, many observers view the banner as more than a patriotic display. They believe it carries a political message during an international sporting event.
Could FIFA Punish the Argentina Falklands Banner?

Despite the growing discussion, Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni remains focused on football.
He praised his players after they came from behind to defeat England.
