Huawei has unveiled its new Watch GT 7 series at the “Chase the Wild” global event in Munich. The company wants its latest smartwatches to do more than track workouts and daily activity.
The Watch GT 7 series focuses on preventive personal health. Huawei says the watches can help users understand potential risks linked to coronary heart disease and diabetes. The approach combines health sensors with software and algorithms to provide users with more detailed health insights.
Huawei also introduced several other products at the event. The lineup includes the Watch 6 series, Watch D3, MatePad Pro 12-inch, FreeBuds Neo and nova 16s. Together, the devices show Huawei’s wider push across health, productivity, entertainment and mobile technology.
Watch GT 7 Adds Health Risk Monitoring
The main feature behind the Watch GT 7 series is Huawei’s Health Insights platform. The system uses sensor data and algorithms to analyze different health measurements.
Huawei says the watch can provide coronary heart disease risk alerts. These alerts monitor vascular-related metrics and can highlight potential cardiovascular concerns.
The smartwatch also offers a diabetes risk assessment. The feature looks at metabolic health through algorithm-based analysis. Users do not need to enter every measurement manually.
Another feature is the Physical Readiness Score. It gives users daily feedback about their readiness for exercise. The system considers factors such as sleep and recovery before providing its assessment.
Built for Outdoor Adventures
Huawei has also designed the Watch GT 7 series with outdoor users in mind. The watches include several features aimed at people who enjoy hiking, cycling and other demanding activities.
One feature uses wrist-based G-force and directional detection. It can track how the wrist moves, turns and accelerates during activity.
Cyclists also get improved navigation tools. The system includes slope alerts, climb planning and sharp-turn alerts. Huawei says future over-the-air updates will add more AI-powered route information.
The Watch GT 7 Pro takes the premium approach further. The model comes in 46mm and 41mm options with EasyCross strap choices. Its body uses titanium alloy, while a nano-tech ceramic bezel adds a more rugged finish.
Huawei Introduces More New Devices
The company also announced the Huawei Watch 6 series and Watch D3. The Watch 6 lineup builds on Huawei’s existing smartwatch features. It also offers standalone calling, offline functions and workout coaching.
The Watch D3 focuses more heavily on health measurements. Huawei says its dual-core measurement system can automatically monitor blood pressure before and after workouts. The company positions the device as a health-focused smartwatch for users who want regular blood pressure tracking.
Huawei also unveiled the MatePad Pro 12-inch. The tablet features a 12-inch PaperMatte OLED display and a slim 4.7mm bezel. It weighs about 454 grams.
The tablet supports a stylus with air-gesture controls. It also includes speech-to-text technology that can turn spoken words into documents. Huawei says AI processing helps speed up the transcription process.
FreeBuds Neo and nova 16s Expand the Lineup
Huawei is also expanding its audio range with the FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds. The company says the earbuds focus on comfort during extended use. They also aim to deliver improved audio quality across different listening situations.
The nova 16s smartphone adds another element to Huawei’s latest product lineup. Huawei has highlighted improvements to portrait photography on the new phone.
The collection reflects Huawei’s broader ecosystem strategy. The company wants its hardware and software to work together more closely across different products.
The Watch GT 7 series puts health at the center of that strategy. Instead of focusing only on steps, calories and workouts, Huawei is moving toward a broader approach to personal health monitoring. The company hopes these features will help users better understand their health and make more informed decisions about their daily routines.
