Israeli forces have intensified military operations across the occupied West Bank, carrying out raids in more than 20 towns and villages, demolishing homes, and arresting dozens of Palestinians. The latest operations come as attacks by Israeli settlers continue to escalate, drawing sharp criticism from Arab nations, the Arab League, and international officials.
The expanding military campaign has deepened tensions throughout the occupied territory, with residents reporting widespread property destruction, arrests, and increasing fears over civilian safety.
Israeli Raids Expand Across the West Bank
According to local reports, Israeli soldiers entered several areas across the West Bank, including Beita, Nilin, Arrabeh, Balata refugee camp, Asira al-Shamaliya, Deir al-Ghusun, Qalqilya, Anabta, and Beit Ummar.
Military bulldozers were deployed during several operations, while homes were searched and numerous Palestinians were detained. In the northern West Bank, five people were arrested during raids in Deir al-Ghusun, while additional arrests were reported in Nablus and surrounding communities.
Residents described heavy military deployments throughout the night as soldiers searched neighbourhoods and blocked roads.
Humanitarian Concerns Grow
The latest military operations have also raised fresh humanitarian concerns.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces allegedly stopped an ambulance transporting a pregnant Palestinian woman from Qaryut to a hospital in Nablus after she experienced a medical emergency. Reports said her condition worsened during the delay, resulting in a miscarriage.
Medical organisations and human rights groups have repeatedly raised concerns over restrictions affecting emergency medical services during military operations.
Settler Attacks Continue to Rise
Alongside the military raids, attacks by Israeli settlers have intensified across several Palestinian communities.
Residents of the Abu Fuzaa area near Taybeh reported harassment by settlers, while farmers in Al-Burj, south of Hebron, said settlers released livestock into olive groves, causing significant agricultural damage.
Palestinian families say they continue to face repeated attacks on their homes and farmland, with many claiming they receive little protection during such incidents.
International Condemnation Mounts
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has appealed to world leaders, the United Nations, the European Union, and the Arab League, urging immediate international action to stop Israeli military operations and settler violence.
Several Arab countries—including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Oman—issued statements condemning the attacks.
The Arab League warned that the situation is approaching a dangerous turning point and called for urgent international intervention.
Spain also criticised Israel’s settlement policies, urging the Israeli government to halt settlement expansion and prevent attacks against Palestinian civilians.
Tensions Continue to Rise
Human rights experts have also voiced growing concern over the worsening situation.
United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese described recent settler attacks as assaults against defenceless civilians, while Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that some Israeli military officials have privately warned that increasing settler violence is creating an extremely volatile security situation.
Political analysts say tensions could continue rising as military operations expand and violence across the occupied territories intensifies.
According to Palestinian officials, nearly 1,200 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank since October 2023, while the conflict in Gaza has continued to fuel instability across the region.
