Chuwi has launched its new Chuwi GTBook X gaming laptop, targeting budget gamers with a modern Intel processor and Nvidia graphics. However, the company has paired the device with an older RTX 3050 Laptop GPU instead of a newer RTX 40-series or RTX 50-series graphics card.
The decision means the laptop does not support advanced Nvidia features such as Frame Generation and Multi-Frame Generation (MFG), which have become important tools for improving gaming performance on affordable systems.
Chuwi GTBook X Gaming Laptop Uses Intel Core 7 230H Processor
The Chuwi GTBook X gaming laptop features the Intel Core 7 230H processor from Intel’s Raptor Lake lineup.
The chip includes six performance cores, four efficiency cores and supports 16 threads. It can reach boost speeds of up to 5.2 GHz and comes with 24 MB of Intel Smart Cache.
For graphics, Chuwi has included the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
The GPU operates at an 80W TGP, while Nvidia Dynamic Boost can increase power up to 95W. Chuwi claims the combined CPU and GPU power output can reach 140W under demanding workloads.
144Hz Display and Upgrade Options
The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch IPS display featuring a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Although the high refresh rate is attractive for gamers, it remains unclear whether the RTX 3050 hardware can consistently deliver 144 frames per second in modern games without relying on upscaling technologies.
The device includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe SSD.
Users can upgrade the memory up to 64GB through two SO-DIMM slots. The laptop also provides two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 storage slots supporting up to 2TB of additional storage.
Cooling System and Connectivity Features
Chuwi equipped the GTBook X with a dual-fan cooling setup and five heat pipes to manage heat during gaming sessions.

While the laptop offers a capable processor, upgrade options and a high-refresh display, the older RTX 3050 graphics card makes the price difficult to justify compared with newer gaming laptops featuring more advanced GPUs.
For budget-conscious buyers, the GTBook X may still appeal as a temporary option, especially in a market where gaming laptop prices remain high.
