Hamas’ top leader in the occupied West Bank, Zaher Jabarin, has vowed that Palestinian resistance will continue despite the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the West Bank. He also called on Arab, Islamic and Western countries to increase pressure on Israel through diplomatic, economic and political measures.
His remarks come as violence continues to escalate across the occupied Palestinian territories, with deadly clashes reported between Israeli settlers and Palestinian residents.
Hamas Says Resistance Will Continue
Speaking in comments carried by Palestinian media, Jabarin said the lives lost in Gaza and the West Bank would not be forgotten, insisting that the Palestinian struggle would continue.
He stated that Palestinians would not surrender to what he described as Israeli aggression and reaffirmed Hamas’ commitment to resisting Israeli occupation.
According to Jabarin, the sacrifices made by Palestinians would strengthen their determination rather than weaken it.
Calls for International Boycott of Israel
Jabarin urged Arab and Muslim countries to expand efforts to boycott Israel using political, economic and diplomatic tools.
He also appealed to Western governments to impose sanctions on Israeli settlers accused of carrying out attacks against Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank.
The Hamas leader argued that stronger international pressure was necessary to address the ongoing violence.
Deadly Clashes Near Nablus
Jabarin praised residents of Tal, a village near Nablus, for confronting Israeli settlers during recent violence.
According to local reports, at least four Palestinians and two Israelis were killed after armed settlers attacked the village on Friday, making it one of the deadliest incidents in the West Bank in recent weeks.
Tensions Continue Across the Region
The latest comments come as fighting and political tensions remain high across Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
International organisations continue to call for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts to prevent further violence, while humanitarian agencies warn about the worsening impact of the conflict on civilians.
