KP Balochistan operation resulted in the deaths of 32 terrorists after Pakistan’s security forces launched intelligence-based missions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the operations on Wednesday.
According to the military, troops carried out the raids over the past 24 hours. The operations targeted militant networks and their facilitators operating in both provinces.
Major Operation in Khyber District
Security forces launched several intelligence-based search and clearance missions during the night of July 28–29 in Khyber district.
Troops raided multiple militant hideouts after receiving credible intelligence. During the operation, they killed 24 terrorists linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, the ISPR said.
Military officials described the mission as successful. They added that troops acted quickly to prevent further terrorist activity.
Eight Terrorists Eliminated in Balochistan
Meanwhile, security forces launched separate intelligence-led operations in Nushki district of Balochistan.
After an intense gun battle, troops killed eight terrorists identified as members of Fitna al-Hindustan.
Security personnel also recovered weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Later, bomb disposal teams safely destroyed the explosives.
Clearance Operations Continue
Following the raids, security forces continued clearance operations in the affected areas.
The ISPR said troops are searching for any remaining militants and their facilitators. Furthermore, the military reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating terrorist networks and strengthening national security.
Officials stressed that intelligence-based operations will continue wherever credible information becomes available.
KP and Balochistan Remain Security Hotspots
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan continue to experience the highest levels of militant violence in Pakistan.
According to the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), the two provinces accounted for nearly 96% of all violence-related deaths during the second quarter of 2026.
The report found that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest number of incidents, while Balochistan ranked second. Consequently, both provinces remain the main focus of Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy.
Authorities say intelligence-driven operations will continue as security forces work to dismantle terrorist networks, prevent future attacks and improve stability across the country.
