The highly anticipated project will officially launch international pre-sales at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Market, with filming scheduled to begin later this year in Australia.

Russell Crowe Bluefly marks another major international production featuring the Academy Award-winning actor. Crowe will star alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas under the direction of Nimr d Antal, known for films such as Predators.
The screenplay comes from David Frigerio, William Eubank, and Carlyle Eubank, who have previously worked on successful action and thriller projects.
Story Follows Secret Mission in the Congo
Bluefly centers on a grieving United Nations translator who becomes involved in a covert military operation deep inside the Congo.
A Special Operations team travels through dangerous militia-controlled territory to recover a mysterious aircraft that should not exist. As the mission progresses, the team discovers they were never meant to return with what they find.
The filmmakers describe the movie as a tense sci-fi thriller driven by strong characters and constant suspense.
Filming to Begin in Australia
Principal photography is expected to begin later this year on Australia’s Gold Coast, a location that has hosted numerous international productions.
Highland Film Group will manage worldwide sales and introduce the project to international buyers during the upcoming TIFF Market.
The production brings together producers from Polite Society, Broken Open Pictures, G2 Dispatch, Highland Film Group, and several executive producers with experience in major Hollywood productions.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently starred in Heads of State and The Bluff. She will also appear in Varanasi, scheduled for release in 2027, along with the survival thriller Reset opposite Orlando Bloom.
