Meta has unveiled new task automation features for its Meta AI assistant, enabling the chatbot to perform recurring tasks, deliver personalized daily briefings and better understand user context without requiring constant prompts.
The new capabilities are being introduced in select markets as the company continues expanding its artificial intelligence ecosystem.
Meta AI Gains Task Automation Features
Powered by Meta’s latest Muse Spark 1.1 AI model, the upgraded Meta AI is designed to handle tasks more independently by learning user preferences and understanding ongoing context.
The company says the assistant can now summarize calendar events into daily briefings while also managing recurring activities such as generating weekly meal plans or providing regular trend updates.
Initial Rollout Begins in Select Markets
The new automation tools are currently available through the Meta AI app and the web version at meta.ai in selected regions.
Meta confirmed it plans to expand these features across additional markets and integrate them into more platforms, including WhatsApp.
Privacy and User Control Remain a Priority
According to Meta, users will continue to have full control over how they interact with the AI assistant.
The company also confirmed that incognito chat mode remains available for users who want private conversations without stored context.
Meta described the update as another step toward creating a more personalized AI assistant capable of providing support whenever users need it.
Meta Launches New Seller App
Alongside the AI improvements, Meta also introduced a new application called Seller, designed specifically for merchants using Facebook Marketplace.
The app provides dedicated selling tools aimed at helping businesses manage listings and improve their online selling experience.
Investors Await Quarterly Results
The announcement comes ahead of Meta’s second-quarter earnings report, which is scheduled to be released after the market closes on July 29.
Investors will be watching closely for updates on Meta’s AI investments and how new artificial intelligence products are contributing to the company’s long-term growth strategy.
