The presentation, which featured the largest gathering of Marvel stars ever assembled on the Comic-Con stage, left thousands of fans on their feet as the studio unveiled fresh details about Avengers: Doomsday, Black Panther 3, Ghost Rider, and several upcoming Marvel projects.
Marvel Delivers an Unprecedented Hall H Experience
For the first time in Hall H history, Marvel surprised its audience by revealing a hidden stage at the rear of the venue.
Actors from Thunderbolts* and the original X-Men films emerged from the back of the massive auditorium before walking through thousands of cheering fans toward the main stage. The emotional entrance created one of the loudest reactions Comic-Con has witnessed in years.
Already waiting on stage were Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, and Robert Downey Jr., who received another standing ovation from the audience.

Black Panther 3 Introduces a New Hero
One of the biggest surprises of the event came when Marvel confirmed that David Jonsson, who recently earned widespread praise for Alien: Romulus, will play the son of T’Challa in Black Panther 3.
The character will eventually inherit the mantle of Black Panther, continuing the legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman.
Marvel also confirmed that Black Panther 3 is scheduled for release on 15 December 2028.
Ryan Gosling Confirmed as Ghost Rider
Marvel also officially announced that Ryan Gosling will headline a brand-new Ghost Rider film.
Adding even more excitement, Shawn Levy, director of Deadpool & Wolverine and Star Wars: Starfighter, has signed on to direct the supernatural superhero film.
The movie is expected to arrive in cinemas during 2028, making it one of Marvel’s most anticipated future releases.
Deadpool Makes a Surprise Appearance
Comic-Con attendees were also treated to an unexpected visit from Ryan Reynolds, who appeared dressed as a fictional Comic-Con attendee named “Ricky” before revealing himself as Deadpool.
The humorous exchange between Reynolds and Robert Downey Jr. quickly became one of the panel’s highlights.
Deadpool jokingly asked whether production on Avengers: Doomsday had already wrapped and even suggested additional filming so he could be included.

Marvel also screened exclusive Hall H footage from Avengers: Doomsday, offering fans a much clearer look at the film’s story.
The footage featured Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards confronting Victor Von Doom while Susan Storm explained the tragic origins of the iconic villain.
The trailer showcased Doom commanding enormous Sentinel robots, battling Earth’s greatest heroes, and overpowering Thor with ease, demonstrating the enormous threat awaiting the Avengers.
Many fans felt the exclusive footage better explained the film’s stakes than the previously released trailer.
Hall H Becomes Doctor Doom’s Kingdom
Marvel transformed Hall H into an immersive experience by handing every attendee a Doctor Doom mask and cape before the presentation.
At one point, Robert Downey Jr., fully embracing Doctor Doom’s character, instructed the entire audience to wear their costumes and join his cause, creating one of Comic-Con’s most memorable visual moments.
Combined with elaborate lighting effects, music, and continuous celebrity appearances, Marvel delivered a presentation that reminded fans why Comic-Con remains the biggest stage for superhero entertainment.
Kevin Feige Pays Tribute to Marvel Comics
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige opened the presentation by honouring the comic books that inspired the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He thanked outgoing Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski for his contributions and welcomed Stephen Wacker as the new editorial leader.
Feige reminded fans that every Marvel film, television series, and animated project exists because of the original comic books.
He also treated Hall H to an exclusive action sequence from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, generating even more excitement ahead of the film’s upcoming release.
