India exam leak protests continued on Tuesday as thousands of students gathered again in New Delhi. Protesters rejected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise to punish those responsible and strengthen India’s examination system.

More than 5,000 students and job seekers gathered at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar protest site.
They demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Protesters blamed the government for failing to stop repeated examination paper leaks.
The controversy began after criminals leaked question papers for a national medical entrance exam earlier this year. Nearly two million candidates took the examination, and the leak triggered nationwide outrage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the issue publicly for the first time.
He promised strict punishment for everyone involved in the scandal. He also pledged to improve examination security and restore public confidence.
Government officials said Modi stressed the importance of protecting students’ futures. He also noted that authorities had successfully organised a fresh examination after the leak.
India Exam Leak Protests Turn Violent
Monday’s demonstrations ended in clashes between protesters and police.
Delhi Police reported that nearly 180 people suffered injuries, including police officers and demonstrators.
Police accused protesters of violating security restrictions and acting aggressively.
However, protest organisers rejected those claims. They said officers used excessive force against peaceful demonstrators. Organisers also claimed that more than 150 protesters required medical treatment after the clashes.
India Exam Leak Protests Gain Opposition Support
Opposition leaders quickly joined the movement.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and several party workers staged a protest outside Prime Minister Modi’s residence.
Police briefly detained the group before releasing them.
Television footage showed Rahul Gandhi sitting on the road while officers escorted him to a police vehicle.
The Congress Party accused the government of suppressing peaceful protests instead of addressing students’ concerns.
India Exam Leak Protests Continue Nationwide
Organisers confirmed that demonstrations would continue across India.
However, they decided not to organise another march toward Parliament to reduce the risk of further violence.
Instead, they will continue demanding stronger action against those responsible for the paper leak. They also want greater transparency in examinations, fair recruitment, and accountability from senior officials.
Meanwhile, the protests continue attracting support from young Indians frustrated by repeated examination scandals and limited job opportunities.
With public anger growing, the government now faces increasing pressure to rebuild trust in India’s education system while preventing further unrest.
